Flower Festivals Herald Arrival of Spring

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is organizing several spring festivals in April through early June when the city will be full of colorful blooming flowers.

The Han River Spring Flower Festival, which is held annually in Yeouido, marks its seventh anniversary this year and will be open from April 13 to 17.

The Seorae Island Canola Flower Festival is scheduled for May 5 to 10 at Banpo Han River Park, Seocho District. A photography zone will be set up in the canola flower fields, and programs and events will be offered to enable visitors to appreciate the spring environment.

Dobong District will host the Seoul Iris Garden Flag Festival from June 4 to 6. Visitors will have a chance to view purple iris flowers, which are considered by some as one of the world’s most beautiful blooms.
